Dubai Steak Guide

The Best Steak in Dubai, Rated Honestly

Dubai has more steakhouses than almost any city its size, most of them up a tower or inside a resort. So the real question is not where to find a good steak. It is which ones are worth the bill, and which ones charge you for the address rather than the beef.

The Best Steak in Dubai, Rated Honestly
Independent

So we did not rank by fame. We cross-checked Time Out, What's On, FACT, Gault&Millau, the MICHELIN Guide, The National and Tripadvisor aggregates, then rated each spot S to C, weighed against value. Where a celebrity name is coasting, we say so. Where a homegrown butchery quietly out-cooks the towers, it earns its place.

As cravd testers rate these in the app, their honest tiers show up here too, from people you'd actually trust with a steak order.

The short answer

Top of the list right now: Prime68 and Carna by Dario Cecchini. Below is the full honest ranking, S to C, drawn from real diner reviews.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse (Salt Bae)

No steakhouse earns an S on a view alone. The two S picks cook to match the skyline; the famous names that coast on the address sit lower on value, and Salt Bae's gold-leaf theatre lands at C.

The picks, ranked

  1. S · Legendary

    Prime68

Business Bay (JW Marriott Marquis, 68th floor)

The benchmark special-occasion steak, and unusually the cooking lives up to the view. USDA Prime cuts done with real precision, a Tripadvisor 4.7 across years of reviews, and the skyline as a bonus rather than the whole pitch. The one knock is the bill.

  2. S · Legendary

    Carna by Dario Cecchini

Business Bay (SLS Dubai, 74th floor)

The most serious meat credibility in the city, from the Tuscan butcher Dario Cecchini. Whole-animal, zero-waste butchery and a Bistecca alla Fiorentina the critics keep singling out. You are paying for genuine expertise here, well beyond the height.

  3. A · Excellent

    CUT by Wolfgang Puck

    Downtown (Address Downtown)

The Japanese Wagyu is repeatedly called mind-blowing, and on the plate it is close to S. It sits at A because reviewers keep flagging service that falls short of a bill that runs around Dhs1,495 for two. Come for the beef, manage the expectations.

  4. A · Excellent

    Seafire Steakhouse

    Palm Jumeirah (Atlantis The Palm)

A proper classic: wood-fired NY-style steaks, generous portions, a 3,000-bottle cellar and a Tripadvisor 4.7. Resort pricing is the only real reason it is not higher.

  5. A · Excellent

    Hunter & Barrel

    Vida Emirates Hills

The quality-to-price sweet spot. An Australian charcoal-grill import, a longtime Time Out favourite, with fillets starting around Dhs120. Rare in Dubai: serious cooking without the tower tax.

  6. A · Excellent

The Ninth Cut Butchery & Steakhouse

    Dubai (butchery + dining room)

The value hero. An actual dry-aging butchery with a dining room attached, almost everything under Dhs200, and an AED 89 dinner set. Oxtail, brisket, house biltong and cuts chosen by people who break down the animal themselves.

  7. A · Excellent

    Rowley's Steakhouse

    DIFC (Central Park Towers)

A 50-year-old London import doing proper British steak-frites in DIFC. The entrecote with Roquefort butter runs around AED 138 to 168, genuinely honest pricing for a DIFC address with Burj views. Proof you can eat well downtown without the markup.

    Beefbar Dubai

    Umm Suqeim (Jumeirah Al Naseem)

Design-led beef that reviewers keep calling something special in a crowded market. Premium cuts alongside playful street-food (the Kobe gyozas), though the top Kobe pushes past Dhs1,000.

  9. B · Good

    STK Dubai

    JBR + Downtown

A longtime Time Out listee whose steaks reviewers call butter-soft, held at B because it is openly part restaurant, part nightclub. Tripadvisor sits around 4.4 here, with recurring notes on the bill. Great for a group night more than a pure steak pilgrimage.

  10. B · Good

    The Meat Co

    Downtown (Souk Al Bahar)

The reliable mid-range pick with the marquee view. Grass-fed South-African-influenced beef on a Burj and fountain terrace, more grounded pricing than the luxury set, and separate halal and non-halal menus.

  11. B · Good

    Hoe Lee Kow

    Dubai Hills (Business Park)

The value-with-a-name pick: a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand for value, from homegrown chef Reif Othman, with charcoal cuts around AED 188 to 248 and a Korean lean. Flavour reviews run mixed, but the Bib and the business-lunch value are real.

    La Cantine du Faubourg

    Trade Centre (Jumeirah Emirates Towers)

  14. B · Good

    Le Relais de l'Entrecôte

Business Bay (The Opus by Omniyat)

The faithful Paris import with one decision removed: sirloin, the secret green sauce, and unlimited frites, full stop. The most frictionless steak in the city rather than the finest, and priced sensibly for it.

    No-decisions steak-fritesMid
  15. C · Fine

    Nusr-Et Steakhouse (Salt Bae)

    Jumeirah (Four Seasons Resort)

The honest lightning rod. The meat is often fine, but across thousands of Tripadvisor reviews the recurring verdict is overpriced and overrated: small portions, a chaotic tourist-attraction room, and a gold-leaf Tomahawk around AED 5,000. It lands at C on value. Come for the spectacle and expect to pay for it.

Steak in Dubai: what you are actually paying for

Dubai's steak scene is stacked with towers and resorts, and a large share of many bills is the postcode. At the top celebrity spots you are paying for the 68th floor, the design and the name at least as much as the beef, and sometimes more.

That is not automatically bad. If it is a special night and the room is the point, Prime68 and Carna genuinely deliver on both the view and the plate. The problem is the places where the address is the only thing carrying the price. It is the same brand-tax pattern we found in our best burger in Dubai and best pizza in Dubai guides: the famous name charges a premium the food does not always back up.

Best value steak in Dubai

The honest value picks beat the towers on price without giving up much on the plate. The Ninth Cut is the clearest: an actual butchery with almost everything under Dhs200 and an AED 89 dinner set. Rowley's does proper British steak-frites in DIFC for around AED 138 to 168, honest pricing for the postcode. Hunter & Barrel starts fillets near Dhs120, and Hoe Lee Kow carries a Michelin Bib Gourmand for value.

None of these are the name you would drop to impress someone. All of them send you home having eaten better per dirham than the celebrity rooms.

Best steak in Dubai with a view

If the view is the occasion, the honest picks are the ones where the kitchen keeps up with the skyline: Prime68 on the 68th floor of the JW Marriott Marquis, Carna up in SLS, and Seafire out on the Palm. All three are splurges, but the cooking earns the ticket rather than hiding behind it.

Is Nusr-Et (Salt Bae) worth it?

This is the question everyone actually types, so here is the honest answer. The meat itself is usually fine. What real diners will not stop mentioning, across its thousands of Tripadvisor reviews, is the value: small portions, a chaotic tourist-attraction atmosphere, warnings to check the bill, and a gold-leaf Tomahawk that runs around AED 5,000. The gold-leaf theatre is the whole product here, and the steak is along for the ride.

Go once for the spectacle if that is what you want. Just do not expect the plate to explain the price. For that money, the S and A picks above are far ahead.

Does Dubai have a Michelin-starred steakhouse?

No, and it is worth knowing before you book on reputation. In the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Dubai, the stars go to fine-dining and tasting-menu kitchens rather than dedicated steakhouses. The closest a steak-leaning spot gets is Hoe Lee Kow's Bib Gourmand, which is a value award rather than a star. So anyone selling you the city's Michelin steak is really selling you the room. This is a critics-and-diners ranking, which is exactly why it can call the famous names honestly.

Frequently asked

What is the best steak in Dubai right now?

For the cooking, Prime68 and Carna by Dario Cecchini are the two S-tier picks, both special-occasion splurges where the kitchen matches the view. For value, The Ninth Cut, Rowley's and Hunter & Barrel eat far better per dirham than the celebrity rooms.

Is Nusr-Et (Salt Bae) worth it?

For the show, maybe once. For the steak, no. Across thousands of Tripadvisor reviews the recurring verdict is overpriced and overrated, with small portions and a gold Tomahawk around AED 5,000. The meat is fine. The price is buying the theatre around it.

What is the best value steak in Dubai?

The Ninth Cut, with an AED 89 dinner set and most cuts under Dhs200, is the clearest value pick because it is a working butchery. Rowley's (around AED 138 to 168 in DIFC) and Hunter & Barrel (fillets from about Dhs120) are close behind.

What is the most expensive steak in Dubai?

The gold-leaf Golden Tomahawk at Nusr-Et (Salt Bae) runs around AED 5,000, with a Golden Ottoman near AED 3,500. It is theatre pricing rather than a reflection of the beef.

Is steak in Dubai halal?

Yes. UAE law requires halal-certified meat, so steakhouse beef is halal by default. Pork appears only in separately licensed hotel venues and is always clearly labelled, and some steakhouses like The Meat Co run separate halal and non-halal menus.

Are these steak rankings sponsored?

No. Nobody paid to be on this list. The tiers synthesize real published reviews from Time Out, What's On, FACT, Gault&Millau, the MICHELIN Guide and aggregate sites, weighed against price, and community tiers from actual app users layer in over time.
